Many users still want to buy a PS5, and many are looking for good deals. But now a seller is warning about a nasty fake shop. This shop appears official, but it is just scammers who want your money.
PS5 consoles are still hardly available, and many interested users are vying for every console that various shops have to offer. Because the resources for the PS5 remain scarce, and Sony is struggling to keep up with production.
But there are also scammers who want to profit from this hype. Now a particularly nasty fake shop has appeared that looks suspiciously similar to its official counterpart. MeinMMO explains why you should definitely not buy from the Euronics fake shop.
Fake shop looks like the official site but has no PS5 consoles
What kind of shop is this? The fake shop presents itself as the official Euronics shop and offers you a landing page with many tempting deals. The PS5 is prominently featured here, and you can hardly find other products on the site.
On the lower half of the website, user ratings from various portals are quoted, which are supposed to instill trust and entice people to take advantage of the offer.
You should definitely not buy a PS5: Euronics has also commented on Twitter, stating that this is not an authorized shop and that you should definitely not buy there.
You can only pay in the fake shop in advance, so you should definitely not order a PS5 there and not transfer any money, because in the worst case, you may never see your money again. If you have already fallen for the fake shop, you should immediately contact your bank.
In general, you should become skeptical if the PS5 console is constantly and permanently available in a shop. Anyone who follows our PS5 ticker on MeinMMO knows how quickly consoles usually sell out. At no drop is the console truly available.
Translation errors, such as “Puls 3D helmet,” should also ring all your alarm bells.
There is only one real Euronics shop: You can only reach the official shop via the URL: https://www.euronics.de/. This is also confirmed again by Euronics Germany. All other shops with similar addresses are fake shops. If you want to be sure, you should bookmark the correct URL in your browser.
For more information, we have contacted Euronics. We are still waiting for a response.
Such nasty fake offers come up again and again
This fake shop is not the first scam when it comes to PS5 consoles. A few months ago, there was a shop that wanted to sell a special “limited edition” of the PS5. GameStop had warned against taking advantage of such an offer. Scammers try to catch a few customers with such a limited edition, who then never see their money again.
