The developers of Anthem like to keep players updated on social media. This time, they commented on guilds and explained the alliance system.
What is it about? The developers at BioWare often share updates about Anthem on Twitter and Reddit, informing players about what is currently happening. This time, Lead Producer Ben Irving posted on the Anthem subreddit. He explained how the alliances will function in the shooter and also mentioned that Anthem will not have guilds at launch.
When will guilds come? No statements have been made regarding this yet. BioWare is working to release a guild system as soon as possible after launch. The developers will provide updates once there is news.

In the meantime, there are the alliances, which BioWare states are a great way to promote social interaction with Anthem.
What are alliances? Through alliances, you and your friends are rewarded for playing Anthem. For every activity in the game, such as missions, Contracts, Freeplay, or Strongholds, you collect experience that contributes to the alliance system. The experience of other players in your group also counts towards the alliance. Additionally, the experience of players on your friends list, who are exploring the world of Anthem without you, will also contribute to the alliance.

At the end of each week, players receive a certain amount of Coin, depending on how much experience has been contributed to the alliance system.
What is Coin? Coin is the in-game currency with which various items can be purchased. Among other things, a certain amount of materials for crafting as well as cosmetic items in the cash shop can be acquired with coins.
