The online shooter S4 League was released in 2008 in Europe. The game became known especially through a television advertisement, in which it was touted as “Europe’s most successful third-person shooter.” In 2021, the game will now be discontinued.
What kind of game is it? S4 League is a free shooter where you compete in groups against other players. PvP is clearly the focus. You fight in action-packed battles, where various skills, weapons, and acrobatic stunts can be used.
You can choose from various game modes, including:
- Deathmatch, with 2 teams and 6 players each
- Touchdown, a mix of basketball and king of the hill
- Chaser – one player gets bonus stats and fights 6 others
- A battle royale with 12 players
Why is the game being discontinued? The website states that S4 League is no longer able to sustain itself financially. Therefore, it will be discontinued.
Where do you know S4 League from? The shooter became mainly known through the television advertisement on the Pro7 channel. The game is still advertised today in the gaming section there.
However, the game seems to not have been very large in recent years. There has been little discussion in the game’s subreddit, mostly revolving around high prices in the shop or many bugs in the game.

S4 League ends in April
When will it be discontinued? As the developers have announced, S4 League will be discontinued on April 29, 2021. It can still be played until then, but afterward, it will join the group of deceased MMOs.
Since today, February 24, players can no longer invest real money. The shop is still available, and all items there are reduced by 95%.
Are there refunds? Those who have spent Aeria Points in the shop in the last 60 days can have them refunded. However, the support must be contacted for this. More details can be found in the official FAQs.
However, you will only receive Aeria Points back. These can, however, be invested in other games from the company Gamigo.
