In a survey on MeinMMO, you were able to vote for the strongest character from all animes. We will tell you who made it to the winner’s podium.
Whether it’s martial arts, magical abilities, or tactical skills – many of the anime heroes know how to help themselves in their own way. But it would be exciting to see how the characters would fare in a massive Battle Royale. MeinMMO therefore asked you which anime character is the strongest.
Here are the results: A total of 349 people participated in the survey. You were able to cast your vote for the protagonist you would see as the winner in a fight. Therefore, you could only vote once.
Here we list the characters that made it into the top 11:
- 11th place: Eren Yeager (Attack on Titan) – 1 %
- 10th place: Gon Freecss (Hunter x Hunter) – 1 %
- 9th place: Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach) – 1 %
- 8th place: Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia) – 1 %
- 7th place: Yuji Itadori (Jujutsu Kaisen) – 1 %
- 6th place: Light Yagami (Death Note) – 1 %
- 5th place: Sailor Moon (Sailor Moon) – 2 %
- 4th place: Naruto (Naruto) – 4 %
The protagonist of Steins;Gate unfortunately did not make it:
All other characters unfortunately did not reach even 1 %, although they did receive some votes. In the comments, you were able to mention other characters that could potentially claim 1st place.
- Walez actually chose Saitama, but Rimuru Tempest from My Reincarnation as a Slime in Another World, Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling, and Gojo as well as Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen also deserved to win.
- Craine also thinks that Rimuru Tempest would have a chance. Thus, Rimuru would at least qualify for the top 11. Otherwise, Wang Ling from The Daily Life of the Immortal King and Anos Voldigoad from The Misfit of Demon King Academy would be potential candidates.
- Don77 thought of another character who, like Saitama, defeats opponents with one punch. Arale from Dr. Slump was able to split the entire world with a single punch. How would it have looked against other opponents?
We will introduce you to the top three places in more detail. In doing so, two characters especially delivered a tough duel.
3rd place: Luffy (One Piece)
- Result: 7 % with 23 votes
In third place is our beloved rubber man, Monkey D. Luffy. He dreams of becoming the King of the Pirates. Through his Devil Fruit, he now unleashes unusual powers that exceed the normal strength of opponents.
Luffy is therefore rightly in this ranking. So far, there has hardly been an opponent who could compete with him. Although Luffy had to flee from some opponents like Magellan, at that time he didn’t have the strength that his Devil Fruit currently provides.
2nd place: Saitama (One Punch Man)
- Result: 36 % with 125 votes
Saitama is the strongest hero in the world. No wonder you chose him for 2nd place. The protagonist of One Punch Man trained so hard that he can defeat any opponent with one punch. This even leads to him finding fights boring.
One Punch Man is considered a humorous anime. Nevertheless, the protagonist of the anime would easily outshine many other heroes. Although Saitama can defeat any opponent with one punch, you believe that there is an even stronger contender for him.
1st place: Son-Goku (Dragon Ball)
- Result: 42 % with 147 votes
Son-Goku has made it to the winner’s podium! We have been experiencing the adventures of the Saiyan for several decades, watching him unlock increasingly stronger Saiyan levels. And it seems that his progress has no end.
Within Dragon Ball, Son-Goku is not necessarily the strongest. Thanks to his new Beast Mode, Son-Gohan is considered the new hope for Earth. However, Son-Goku still has a lot to offer and can compete with his son. Retirement is far from being considered!
In addition, there are many other characters that could qualify for 1st place. King Zeno, the ruler of the 12 universes, would have been just as good of a candidate.
