What kind of event is this? On Monday, February 3, 2020, at 12:30 AM (German time), the Super Bowl 2020 kicked off. It took place in Miami.
The NFL teams Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers faced off against each other in the 54th Super Bowl. This football event was also celebrated in Fortnite.
There were football skin variants and even an NFL mode.

Which Twitch streamers were seen? The Fortnite stars Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf and Timothy “TimTheTatman” Betar both had special appearances at the Super Bowl 2020.
They were seen in advertisements that aired during the event’s breaks. This is quite a big deal since it’s one of the most significant events of the year, and businesses invest millions to get their ads played there.
Fortnite World Champion Bugha says: “Banana”
The Fortnite World Champion Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf appeared in a commercial for Sabra, a hummus company. His appearance only lasted a few seconds.
He was dressed entirely in yellow and was playing on a controller. The only word he said was “Banana”.

Streamer TimTheTatman also had an appearance
The Twitch streamer Timothy “TimTheTatman” Betar was also seen in an advertisement during the Super Bowl 2020. It was even the intro advertisement of the Super Bowl.
TimTheTatman was seen on a tractor. He shouts to a child running by: “Bring him home, kid!” referring to the football that is being carried by the boy to the stadium.

What does this appearance mean for the world of streamers and professional players? The fact that these two Twitch streamers were allowed to appear at such a large event shows what the best streamers can expect in the coming years.
The world of eSports is spreading more and more into everyday life. Even schools in America are set to offer eSports as part of the curriculum soon.
If this continues, we will likely soon see eSports as part of the well-known sports categories. But it also looks promising for streamers, as they could reach more people when involved in such events.
