Nightreign is a standalone game where fans of Elden Ring fight for survival against each other. So far, there is no exact release date. However, we already know which month the beta for the game starts.
What do we already know about Nightreign? The standalone title, which runs separately from Elden Ring, was introduced at the Game Awards 2024.
- Nightreign is a multiplayer spin-off where players must cooperate.
- They must survive three nights while fighting enemies, gathering equipment, and defeating a final boss.
- The area where you fight will get smaller over time. This is reminiscent of many battle royales like Fortnite.
- As is typical for a roguelike, you lose your equipment at the end of a run. If you emerge victorious from a run, you at least keep permanent bonuses for the next round.
As this is a standalone game, you have no access to your main character from Elden Ring. Instead, you must choose one of 8 pre-made characters.

Players can soon test Nightreign
When does the beta start? As Bandai Namco states on its official page, a network test is scheduled for February 2025. This will check how well the servers handle the influx of players and how the online systems work.
The selected players can then test part of the full version. The complete game will only be available for the full release. The network test will take place on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
How do I participate? Unfortunately, not everyone interested can participate in the beta. Therefore, you need to register on the official page starting January 10, 2025. This way you will have a chance to participate in the network test.
If you are among the lucky winners, you will receive an email notifying you how to participate in the network test.
If you want to start preparing for the network test, you can pass the time with Elden Ring itself. MeinMMO has compiled an overview of all guides for you. There you can get tips and tricks to become as good as possible: Elden Ring: All guides, beginner tips, and builds in overview
