In Call of Duty: Vanguard there is an extended “Free Weekend” where you can access the multiplayer shooter for free. Additionally, there are bonuses available if you usually only play in the Battle Royale Warzone.
When is free access available? The “Free Access” to Call of Duty: Vanguard runs from December 16, 7:00 PM to December 21, 7:00 PM German time (via Call of Duty Blog). This allows everyone who hasn’t tried the shooter yet to catch up.
Whether you’re a complete newbie, usually only play Warzone, or you got Battlefield 2042 in the fall and now want to check out the competition: During the Free Access you have 5 days to try out the multiplayer.

Extended Free Weekend in CoD Vanguard with XP Bonuses
What’s included? If you start with the free access in Vanguard, you can access three playlists.
- The “Free Kills Playlist”, where you can battle on the maps Radar, Das Haus, Hotel Royal, Eagle’s Nest, Numa Numa, and Shipment. The modes “Team Deathmatch”, “Domination”, and “Hardpoint” will be played. Additionally, “Armageddon” and “Shipmas” will follow once the Festive Fervor update is online. - The 24/7 Shipmas playlist will also come after the update, allowing you to access the Christmas version of the Shipment map around the clock.
- The third playlist is called “Champion Hill”, a mode with matches in the form of trio tournaments.

These bonuses are available: During the free access period, players can take advantage of various XP bonuses. There are double experience points in the following areas:
- Player XP
- Weapon XP
- Operator XP
- Clan XP
