Microsoft recently discontinued the 1€ offer for the Game Pass, but there is a way for you to use the subscription for free and play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 costs 79.99€, but is playable at release in the Game Pass on PC and Xbox. However, Microsoft removed the 1€ offer to test the subscription shortly before the shooter’s release. But if you have not had a Game Pass subscription yet, you can even play CoD Black Ops 6 for free. We will show you how.
What is this feature? Microsoft offers Game Pass subscribers the ability to invite up to 5 friends to the Game Pass. If you have received an invitation, you can test the subscription for free for 14 days.
Important: When starting the trial, you still need to provide your preferred payment method and will be registered as subscription customers. So if you do not want to pay anything for the Game Pass, remember to cancel the subscription before the 14 days expire.
Trial is subject to conditions
Who can use this feature? To take advantage of the 14-day trial, you must meet one fundamental condition: You must not have had a Game Pass subscription associated with the selected Microsoft account in the past.
Furthermore, the person inviting you to test the pass must have had the “PC Game Pass” or “Game Pass Ultimate” for at least 7 days. So, you cannot subscribe to the Game Pass the day before the release of CoD Black Ops 6 and let 5 friends play for free.
The number of available invitations resets every year on January 1st. You can then invite 5 friends to the Game Pass again.
Inviting friends to the Game Pass – Here’s how
How do you invite someone to test? First, you need to go to the official Xbox website and log in with your Microsoft account. Then follow these steps:
- Click “Invite Friends”
- A window will open informing you about the availability of a trial. In that window, click on “Copy Link”
- Send the link via your preferred messaging service to the person you want to invite
- The invited person must now open the link, log in with their Microsoft account, and claim the trial offer.
If the invited person has previously owned a Game Pass subscription, they should be alerted when trying to redeem the trial that they cannot take advantage of the offer.
