In the upcoming beta tests of Diablo 4, a feature will be available only at certain times. The only world boss you can fight will be available only in the morning and evening for 2 hours each. If you want to see him, you need to set your alarm.
Why should I play in the morning or evening? From March 17 to 20 and from March 24 to 27, the beta weekends of Diablo 4 will take place. During this time, you can create characters and level them up to level 25, explore the entire prologue and Act 1.
Additionally, one of the world bosses of the game will be available: Ashava. World bosses are opponents in Diablo 4 that you must defeat to unlock higher difficulties. They are designed for larger groups of players.
Since Diablo 4 offers a shared world, you should automatically be paired with other players when fighting Ashava. However, the boss only appears 4 times per test.
At what times does the boss appear? According to the beta guide from Blizzard, you can fight Ashava at the following times:
- In the preorder beta
- Saturday, March 18 at 18:00 and 20:00 CET
- Sunday, March 19 at 06:00 and 08:00 CET
- In the open beta
- Saturday, March 25 at 18:00 and 20:00 CET
- Sunday, March 26 at 07:00 and 09:00 CET (remember the time change)
For a victory, you will receive “rich loot”, presumably strong items, perhaps even legendaries. The fight is designed for 12 players based on current information. In co-op, you can already play with groups of 4 players – even in crossplay with all platforms.

What else is in the beta? You can see everything in the beta that you’d also see in Act 1 of Diablo 4. However, in the preorder beta, only the huntress, the barbarian, and the sorceress are available. In the open beta, you can play all 5 classes of Diablo 4.
You can level up to level 25 and already receive a reward for participating at level 20. Allegedly, you even need level 25 to fight the boss at all. So you’ll have to level up for some time before you can even get to that point. However, progress will carry over between beta weekends.
How long can I play? The beta ends each Monday at 20:00 or 21:00. You can already start the preload now, but you should hurry. With texture packs, the download is a whopping 85 GB.
Otherwise, there are no limits in your way. You won’t level up beyond level 25, but you can farm as much as you want. If you are still unsure which class you want to play, you can find an overview here:
