Lawn what? For pretty much every activity, there is a simulator game that takes you by the hand as realistically as possible. You can find bus driving simulators, auto mechanic simulators, and of course the Powerwash Simulator, which even comes with a co-op mode.
So is anyone surprised that there is a simulation for operating lawn mowers? Exactly, no one. The Lawn Mowing Sim has only been available on PC and Xbox, but now you can also get started on PS4 and PS5. We will show you what to expect.

Here’s what to expect: Sharpen your blades and fill the tank. After installation, you can play around in a small tutorial. Choose one of the vehicles, drive it off the trailer, and trundle over to the lawn. A customer specifies how short the grass should be cut. Set the mower to the appropriate height and then you’re almost ready to go.
Before the ride begins, check the lawn for obstacles. Balls, sticks, stones – everything that is in the way must go. And then the actual work begins, and you … mow the lawn. This is exciting with the first contours, where you avoid bushes. Depending on the size of the lawn, it can get quite monotonous in between. Just like in real life.
To keep it from getting too boring, there are always flowers or other obstacles on the green area that belong to the garden and should stay there. You then mow around them.
It quickly becomes clear that every garden is different, and you must constantly adapt to the areas and contours. In the trailer, you can get a glimpse of the mower’s work.
What is complex about it? You don’t just jump on the mower and take off, but you also have to set the cutting height correctly. After all, the grass shouldn’t be too long or too short. You can’t just stomp over the lawn at 15 km/h with the pedal to the metal; you have to adjust your speed. If you drive too fast, you won’t cut the grass cleanly. If you go downhill at full speed, the engine will overheat.
Oh, and anyone who unintentionally uproots Uschi Müller’s flowers will have to face penalties.
Who is it worth it for? In the Lawn Mowing Simulator, you will be waiting in vain for action. This is a game to unwind. You can watch movies and series or make phone calls in the meantime. It’s a great “side game”.
What does it cost? In the PS Store, the Lawn Mowing Simulator costs €19.99. If you have a PS Plus subscription, you will pay €15.99 for the game. The offer is valid until April 15, 2022.
