What can you do to regain access? If you have lost your access to the Founder Package and thus the Early Access, you can do the following:

Solutions for loss of the Founder Package

When changing the login method

Disconnect the account links in the account settings at NCSoft
Reconnect the correct accounts
Make sure that Steam and the corresponding NCSoft account remain linked
WARNING: If you change your login method to your phone number, all links will be disconnected – including Steam and a potential NCSoft dummy account on which your access is tied
You will then not be able to access the content and must contact the official NCSoft Support

For Steam and automatic NCSoft Dummy Account

If you play an NCSoft game via Steam for the first time, NCSoft creates a dummy account
Your Founder Package and your access to Early Access are tied to this dummy account
If you then disconnect to link a “real” NCSoft account, you will lose your access
Unfortunately, you must contact the official NCSoft Support here and be patient

For Steam and manual NCSoft account

If you have lost the link between Steam and the manually created NCSoft account (on which the Founder Package must be) due to changing the login method or other reasons, you can simply reconnect them
Just log in via Steam or email and go to the account settings at NCSoft
After that, you should be able to get back into the game and find your content

For linking Twitch and Steam

If you log in via Twitch on the NCSoft site and then link your account with Steam, a completely new NCSoft dummy account can unfortunately be created that overwrites your old one on the Steam account
This can be resolved by linking a Google account or an email address to the “broken account,” logging in through that, disconnecting the Steam link, and then logging in via Steam
Your old dummy account should then be combined with Steam again so that you can retrieve your content again

Aion 2: Lost Founder Package and Early Access – Preventing the Problem

The loss can be prevented, especially regarding the dummy issue, by linking your manually created NCSoft account with Steam before starting Aion 2 on Steam. Log in to the NCSoft website with your account and link it to Steam in the account settings.

This prevents an NCSoft dummy account from being created automatically and linked to your Founder Package when starting the game, and you can then add or remove links repeatedly without losing access.

Especially if you want to log in long-term with your phone number, this is important, as you can later reconnect your NCSoft and Steam accounts easily.

Aion 2: Lost Founder Package and Early Access – Reasons

The problem arises because NCSoft automatically creates NCSoft dummy accounts when you log in via other accounts through NCSoft. This links all accounts, such as Steam, Twitch, phone number, or Google, with accounts that you have not created yourself. You do not receive any separate information about this, making it difficult to understand the problem.

If you then purchase a Founder Package on Steam and start the game without having linked a personal NCSoft account with your Steam account beforehand, your Founder Package will be bound to the dummy account. If you then disconnect to link your own NCSoft account, you lose access to the dummy account and thus the connection to your Founder Package.

A similar problem arises if you want to change your login method to your phone number. The notice during the change already states that all your linked accounts will be disconnected. However, it does not make clear the extent if a dummy account is linked to your Steam account and your Founder Package, causing you to lose access.
