In Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS, Android, Switch & Xbox One) there are new challenges in the event “High Stakes.” Among the rewards is a crowbar as a harvesting tool. How to get it is explained here.
How do you get the crowbar? The crowbar is a cool skin for the harvesting tool and fits perfectly with the robber theme of the “High Stakes” event. It is therefore part of the Bandit Set, which consists of the Wildcard Outfit, the money bag glider, and special sprays and fall animations.
You can buy the outfit and the glider in the shop, the rest must be earned. Especially for the crowbar you need to be particularly diligent and complete all the challenges of the “High Stakes” event.
The challenges from the heist
If you want the crowbar, you have to complete all these tasks. Fortunately, the challenges are open to everyone. So you don’t need a Battle Pass and you also don’t have to buy any of the Wildcard skins.
However, you need to play the new game mode Heist to complete the three tasks.
Challenge 1 – Play 10 Heist Matches
What do you need to do? This task is a gift. You just need to finish 10 matches of the Heist mode in any way. As long as you don’t quit the game early, a round counts as played. Do this 10 times and you’ll have completed the task.
What do you get for it? As a reward for your efforts, you will receive 5,000 experience points.
Challenge 2 – Deal 500 Damage to Opponents Carrying a Jewel
What do you need to do? This task is less difficult than one might initially think. The safes with the llama jewels are always visible. And when a player picks up the jewel, they are exposed for 30 seconds for everyone on the map.
Then hunt down the jewel carrier and deal damage. It may take a while until you’ve done 500 damage, but if you play often enough, it should work. The damage does not have to be dealt in a single match.
What do you get for it? Here you’ll receive a spray logo featuring the four card symbols of the Wildcard skins as a reward.
Challenge 3 – Grab a Jewel in 5 Different Heist Matches
What do you need to do? This task requires a bit more skill. The safes are visible from the start, but they take a long time to open. Until then, someone has often already shot you. So it’s best to go as a team or try to kill a jewel carrier and steal their jewel.
Also, it’s not enough to collect jewels multiple times in one match. You need to complete it in five different games.
What do you get for it? Those who complete the challenge receive a fall animation that makes you drop money in bundles.
The Crowbar as the Final Reward of the Challenges
If you have completed all three tasks during the event, you will receive the crowbar as a thank you. This completes your bandit set.
How long can I do the challenges? The “High Stakes” event, which includes the Heist mode, is time-limited. However, it will last at least a week. It may even continue until the end of Season 5 on September 25.
