Bossa Studios are currently busy with the sandbox MMORPG Worlds Adrift. The PvP is not running smoothly yet, and there is still much to do in PvE.

Work is being done on PvP
The PvP is evolving. Worlds Adrift has been criticized recently for “unfair” PvP. Especially newcomers find it hard to establish themselves due to constant attacks from more experienced players. The development team explains that this issue is being addressed:
- There will be no pure PvE version of the game, as PvP is a core element of the experience
- The balancing in PvP needs to be optimized
- There should be more risks but also more rewards for PvP
- The difference between new players and veterans is currently too large
- The constant attacks on “weaker” players need to be reduced
The developers state that they are on a good path to balance the PvP in a way that is enjoyable for everyone. The community is helping with this. After all, Worlds Adrift is still in the Early Access phase, which is exactly meant to identify and solve such issues.
PvE is set to introduce new gameplay opportunities
Work is being done on PvE. Bossa Studios believes that the PvE aspect of the MMO is still far from what the developers envisioned. However, work is being done here as well:
- In the future, more threats and creatures will be introduced to make exploring the islands more exciting
- Some PvE elements, such as hunting Skywhales, require larger groups of players. Players should cooperatively pursue a goal, but the hunt can be interrupted by PvP at any time. An attack on a Skywhale can, for example, be used by enemies as an ambush
- The creatures, ecosystems, and landscapes of the world are to be developed into a mosaic of possibilities, challenges, puzzles, and surprises, according to the developers. This will change the dynamics between players and introduce many more options to make the game more interesting
