The long-awaited “Hive Mind” is finally being implemented in World of Warcraft. The appearance has changed and is now quite obscure.
The game data from the upcoming Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance in World of Warcraft has now been accurately mined. Especially one mount is attracting attention. The “Hive Mind” will finally make its way into the game with Patch 8.1.
What is the Hive Mind? The Hive Mind looks like a jellyfish mount but has the texture of a brain. Additionally, it has the feature that “other players can join the Hive Mind.” How exactly this will work is still unclear, but it is suspected that they will merge into a larger mount.
The search has been ongoing for a long time: The community was already searching for the Hive Mind like crazy in Patch 8.0, literally turning over every little stone in Battle for Azeroth. In the end, however, the players from the “Secret Finding” Discord server only found two other secrets, namely the demonic pet Baa’l and the Transmog belt Time Gold.
Only after that did the developer Jeremy Feasel explain that the Hive Mind was not actually in the game and was discarded during the beta – until now.
How does one obtain the Hive Mind? The exact method of acquisition is not yet known. However, it goes without saying that the mount will again be hidden behind a complex puzzle. If the name loosely hints at how this will work, then solving the puzzle will require several players simultaneously.
Once Patch 8.1 goes live, players will surely feverishly search for the new mount. We will keep you updated and provide a guide as soon as the puzzle is deciphered.
