On Amazon, the vacuum robots from Yeedi are a hit and are celebrated with many positive reviews. After we already tested the predecessor model on MeinMMO, the successor is now here. MeinMMO editor Patrick Freese has tested the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro for you.
Who tested it? I am Patrick, an expert in online games like GTA or Diablo and also for vacuum robots here at MeinMMO. Over the past 5 years, I have used about 11 different models in long-term and short-term tests. The purchase prices vary between €250 and €900.
Through this, I gained a lot of experience with the automatic vacuum robots, which play an increasingly important role in smart homes. I invest about 5 hours a week and sift through test reports and videos on new and popular models.
Update from November 1: Due to an early Black Friday offer, you can now get the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro for €299. Just select the coupon on the product page at Amazon and save €150 compared to the RRP. The offer is expected to be active until November 28.
With the Yeedi Vac Max, you can save €60 with a coupon.

What kind of device is this? Thanks to the company Yeedi, I received the opportunity to test one of their products for MeinMMO again. After the Yeedi Vac Max scored quite well in my test, I wanted to find out what improvements have been made in the successor model, the Vac 2 Pro. I will show you here:
What does the device offer?

App, Vacuuming, and Mopping Test
How did I test? I have been using the vacuum cleaner in my apartment for 4 weeks now. It vacuums almost daily all 5 rooms, including the kitchen and bathroom. The mopping mode, like with my other models, is used once a week. During this time, I was able to directly compare the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro with the predecessor model, which also cleaned my apartment.
The App: Clear and Intuitive
What kind of app is this? I use the same app for the Vac 2 Pro as with my first Yeedi device. Here, the handling has not changed. I select the robot I want to operate in the app, and the map created during the first run of the apartment opens. Divided into different rooms, I see the floor plan of my apartment. Those who want to clean multiple floors with the robot can create multiple maps and select which one should be active at the edge of the screen.
How is the app structured? With “Area”, “Auto”, and “Custom”, you set how you want it to clean. An area cleaning can include one to several rooms. This way, you can vacuum only the living room and kitchen while leaving out the children’s rooms. The auto cleaning sends the robot through the entire apartment. With the custom cleaning, you can create a specific area on the app that should be cleaned. For example, only around the dining table.
What functions does the app offer? In the app, you can also select:
- How many cleaning passes should be performed (1x or 2x)
- How high the suction power is (in 4 levels)
- How much water should be used when mopping (in 3 levels)
- Cleaning schedule: Should it be cleaned at fixed times? And should it be repeated?
- Voice output: How loud should the robot “speak” and in which language?
- Various settings like the frequency of self-emptying at a suction station, if available. Or the automatic increase of suction power when the robot drives onto a carpet
- It also sets how careful the robot should be in avoiding obstacles
How do I like the app? The app is intuitively and clearly structured. You can quickly find the options you are looking for and can control the robot very well with it. Only the creation of rooms caused some problems during the first exploration run. The kitchen + hallway were combined as one room. During the second map creation tour, everything was recognized correctly.

Vacuuming – How well does the vacuum robot really clean?
Vacuuming: The Vac 2 Pro relies on a new type of object recognition using artificial intelligence, cameras, and lasers.
In the vacuum comparison, the Vac 2 Pro and Vac Max perform differently. Here I see no advantages with the Vac 2 Pro.
How did I test the suction function? I set up the same scenario for both models, scattering 42 grams of beads on a low-pile carpet. Then I let each model perform a room cleaning and weighed how many grams of beads were left in the dust container.
- Vac Max: 4 grams of beads remained on the carpet
- Vac 2 Pro: 1 gram of beads remained on the carpet
Both recognize carpets reliably. Off carpets, they operate with normal suction power, and on carpets, they increase power after a short delay. The Vac 2 Pro handled the small beads better than the predecessor model. While both cleaned satisfactorily, the few small crumbs don’t bother me. Both only made one pass for the test. For a thorough cleaning, you can activate the second pass.
Object Recognition: The Vac 2 Pro is advertised with its improved object recognition. For this, I placed stuffed animals and building blocks in the room. Some were navigated well, but others were simply pushed around. Even the dog bowl was moved a meter. This did not please Kyra. Things that are quite flat are only recognized by the object detection in rare cases. In its current state, the system is still not convincing.

Mopping – Finally an Improvement Over Other Models
What is better here? A major change can be seen with the Vac 2 Pro. Unlike all my previous vacuum robots, this one also moves the mop plate jerkily forwards and backwards.
With the Vac 2 Pro, the plate with the mop jerks about 1-2 cm forwards and backwards, mimicking a mopping movement. While there is still little weight on the mop and stubborn stains do not come off, the mopping is much more thorough than with all other devices in my tests. I immediately noticed this in direct comparison on the kitchen floor.

When mopping, you can choose between 3 different levels. In the app, you can set zones on the map that the robot should not enter while mopping. For example, carpets. This works reliably.
How do I like mopping? This is a real enhancement compared to the predecessor and can be a selling point against other vacuum robots. However, one should keep in mind that it does not replace conventional hand mopping.

Are you still unsure about what kind of vacuum robot you want? I tested and compared four vacuum robots in the price range of €215 to €750. Does the higher price really make that much of a difference?
