The streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel dominated Twitch from 2020 to 2022. In those 3 years, he was the most-watched streamer on the streaming platform. But that changed when he accepted an offer from the streaming platform Kick in June 2023. Now he is loudly complaining that he was not nominated for the “The Streamer Awards” and laments a loss of his significance.
What is xQc complaining about? The streamer xQc complained on November 12 that he was not nominated for a single category at the “The Streamer Awards 2024.”
He believes that the awards, hosted and organized by QTCinderella, are clearly totally unfair:
Streamers have to “beg for money and subs” and “run as many ads as possible” to get nominated, xQc complains.

xQc was nominated for the award for 3 consecutive years
Was he nominated for awards before? In 2022, 2023, and 2024, he was nominated for the category “Streamer of the Year” at the “The Streamer Awards.” However, he never won the award.
In 2022, he did win the award for “Just Chatting” and in 2023 the award for best “Variety Streamer” – but he leaves empty-handed for this year’s edition.
xQc was also nominated for “Streamer of the Year” at the “Esports Awards” in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
xQc sold himself to an online casino for a lot of money
What is going on with xQc? It is ironic that xQc complains that one must run “a lot of ads” to be nominated, while he is practically constantly advertising for an online casino on Kick.
The content and direction of xQc’s stream have changed since his move to Kick. Kick is a platform heavily sponsored by the online casino Stake. Kick was born in response to Twitch’s ban on such casino streams that promote Stake. German gambling streamers were also hit hard by this ban.
xQc has transitioned from a trendsetter on Twitch, who established reaction streams and constantly entertained viewers, to an influencer now associated with betting and gambling.
In the end, he – like Ninja before him – sold his relevance on Twitch for a huge payday. Allegedly, Kick offered him $100 million. Now the Canadian must also deal with the fact that the days at the top of Twitch are over.
Papaplatte nominated, but probably unlikely to win
Who is nominated? There are a total of 27 different categories (via streamerawards).
In the category of “Best International Streamers,” the German Papaplatte made the shortlist. But he is up against streamers like the Spaniard Ibai, IShowSpeed (because he has many international fans), or the Japanese FPS_Shaka.
For Gamer of the Year, CaseOh_, Jynzi, TenZ, KaiCenat, and Clix are nominated.
For Streamer of the Year, IShowSpeed, Caedrel, PirateSoftware, Emiru, and KaiCenat are nominated.
This is the most controversial nomination: For “Best Collaboration Streamed,” a stream by Adin Ross with Donald Trump is nominated.
By the way: Asmongold is also completely absent from the nominations this year. The MMORPG category, which Asmongold won in 2022 and for which he was nominated in 2024, has now been removed for the December edition of the Streamer Awards.
