The streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel is known as a troublemaker on Twitch. Nevertheless, he is the biggest streamer in the world on the platform and repeatedly finds himself in quirky situations. Recently, he had a conversation on stream with the father of a fan who wouldn’t leave him alone.
This is what happened:
- xQc is the biggest streamer on Twitch (via sullygnome). He is a variety streamer and showcases all kinds of games – including GTA Online, which he even plays “too much”.
- In one of his recent streams, xQc dealt with a “stream sniper” in Fortnite who kept stalking him.
- When the sniper’s father happened to be in the room, xQc addressed him directly – and decided to talk about the sniper’s behavior.
xQc talks to the dad: “Get him on the mic, man”
How did the situation come about? Since streamers like xQc usually broadcast their gaming sessions live, it’s quite easy to find them in relevant games. Viewers who exploit this are called “stream snipers.”
Such people often gain an advantage from knowing where the streamers are and secure a victory. Or, as in the case of xQc, they just want to be close to their stars and play with them.
While playing Fortnite, xQc kept getting interrupted by one of his fans. He didn’t give up and followed him through several rounds until the streamer finally confronted him. At this point, a second voice is heard, apparently belonging to the sniper’s father.
This is the conversation: xQc starts with words that probably everyone feared in school: “Is this your son? I would like to talk to you about his behavior online. That’s a bit strange.”
He directly complains to the father that the son is disturbing him while playing. It’s uncomfortable to be followed all the time. Even with the father’s assurance that the sniper is a “good boy,” xQc replies:
He may be a good boy, but he’s got it out for me, man. I’m trying to have fun, but he’s just got it out for me. He really makes it hard for me to play the game.
“I bet you wish xQc was your dad”
The conversation takes an unexpected turn when the father explains that his son is a huge xQc fan. He even mentioned just before the session how much he admires the streamer:
I just talked to him earlier and told him that he surely wishes xQc was his father […] He spends more time with you than with me.
The son sounds a bit embarrassed by the conversation, but xQc seems genuinely touched and surprised by the revelation. From this perspective, he can apparently understand why someone would stalk him and want to play with him.
The twist is especially unexpected because xQc is usually known for being quite rough. He often yells at his viewers and even comes up with new words when he’s really in the zone.
The stories on Twitch, however, do not always end well. In some cases, situations can escalate quite a bit. Even bans don’t help anymore, and those affected just vent their anger on other platforms:
