Félix „xQc“ Lengyel (26) is currently the biggest streamer on Twitch. He has been banned five times in his career and had to participate in a conversation after the last time, which Lengyel referred to as “therapy”.
This is xQc’s ban history:
- Lengyel received his first ban on March 1, 2020 by streaming the game “Strip 4: Classmate Study”. In this game, you play against a “school friend” in Connect Four, who keeps undressing as you win against her.
- On June 12, 2020, the Twitch star got his second ban. This time because he accidentally showed how two gorillas mate. The community sent him the video and he fell for it.
- The third ban followed on November 19, after xQc cheated at a Twitch tournament for Fall Guys. He looked at a competitor’s stream and was able to see which “Fall Guys” character he was playing. xQc held the competitor long enough for him to be eliminated.
- When the Olympic Games took place, Lengyel illegally broadcast them on his Twitch channel. He received his fourth ban for that on July 29, 2021.
- The last and fifth ban occurred on August 16, 2021. However, the exact reason was never mentioned and it only lasted for 4 hours.
The Twitch streamer has therefore had quite a tumultuous history and even had to have a personal conversation with an employee of the livestream platform to get unbanned, xQc told in one of his livestreams (via Twitch).
xQc had to undergo “streamer therapy”
This is what happened in xQc’s stream on December 27: Lengyel scrolled through Twitter and saw a tweet from “djWHEAT”. He then said that djWHEAT is a really cool guy. xQc had talked to him when he had to attend a kind of “streamer therapy” to get unbanned again.
According to xQc’s statements, he had to answer certain questions in the conversation that resembled a therapy session:
- “Do you know why you received the ban?”
- “Why is it bad to do thing X, for which you were banned?”
The conversation lasted about 90 minutes, according to xQc. However, he couldn’t quite remember when the discussion took place. Lengyel estimated that it must have been during the second ban. He referred to it as the “gorilla incident”.
After that, however, he was banned 3 more times, but Lengyel said nothing about having to speak with the employee again or needing to in the future.
xQc and his chat enjoyed the story and then continued the stream normally.
