The Cyberpunk ARPG The Ascent is no longer a launch title for Xbox Series X. The developers announced that the release has been pushed to next year 2021.
What do the developers say? Neon Giant has announced that their Cyberpunk ARPG “The Ascent” is no longer a launch title for the Xbox Series X and Series S. They are moving the release to 2021. However, when it does come out, it will be part of the Xbox Game Pass at launch.
What is The Ascent?
Here’s what the game is about: Those watching the trailers of The Ascent will quickly associate it with “Diablo” and “Cyberpunk”. From a top-down perspective, you fight solo or in co-op with up to four players using futuristic weapons through the levels. You enhance your hero with gear and abilities, as you might know from Diablo – but here in the form of cyber-technology.
Alongside the announcement of the later release, there is also a new video. It showcases the current development status and some highlights of The Ascent.
The video is well received. On YouTube, it has already garnered 73,312 views, 5,316 thumbs up and only 77 thumbs down (as of: 29.10. – 13:37 Uhr). In the comments for the trailer on YouTube, players write:

The Ascent will be released in 2021 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC.
Another launch title for Xbox Series X and S gone
This is why it’s bitter: For players looking forward to the new console, this means another new game will be missing at the console launch. And this is not the first. Halo Infinite, which was considered one of the most important launch titles for the Xbox Series X, has also been pushed to 2021.
