Currently, the new Xbox Series X is sold out everywhere – pre-orders are not possible. However, according to Microsoft, this is expected to change soon. A tweet gives hope for a new wave.
Update 4:00 PM: The wave surprisingly occurred today already. For a short time, you could purchase the Xbox Series X at MediaMarkt and Saturn. When the next wave will happen is not known.
Where can you pre-order the Xbox Series X? Pre-orders are now again possible at MediaMarkt and Saturn, as also announced by Microsoft.

What happened? After the start of pre-orders, the Xbox Series X was sold out in no time. While the start of pre-orders was not as chaotic as with the PS5, many fans still missed out.
However, Microsoft is giving fans of the console hope again. A tweet from Xbox DACH states that “in the coming days” you will have the opportunity to pre-order a console again:

Release and Price of the Xbox Series X
The Xbox Series X will be released on November 10, 2020, in Germany, just like its smaller sister Series S, which according to Phil Spencer is expected to sell better than the more expensive console.

What about the PS5?
The PS5 was temporarily available for order at a retailer in America on October 13, but this was not a third wave. For buyers from Europe, there has been no chance since September 25 to get a console.
At the beginning of October, an insider stated that Sony would soon offer new consoles and was expecting the start of a possible third wave from October 5. However, this has not yet happened.
A tweet from Sony, which dates back to September, thus the time before the second wave, states that there will be “more PS5 consoles available towards the end of the year”.
When exactly this will be – whether still before the release or possibly only right before Christmas – is still not known. Furthermore, the new consoles may only be made available online. Because in retail, the PS5 probably won’t be available at launch.
