Update 1806 for Xbox One is now rolling out and brings minor improvements, groups, and Fast Start. Fast Start is available for selected titles – currently only for English-speaking games.
Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson announced the release of Update 1806 for Xbox One on his blog. The update is now rolling out and will be distributed to users over the coming weeks. Players can expect new groups, as well as Fast Start, a new search feature, and improvements to Microsoft’s streaming service Mixer and overall broadcasting quality.
Groups are finally here
More organization for games: The expansion of pins to individual groups was already announced for the May update. Now, the feature is supposed to be made available for all users. Groups can be found in the “My Games & Apps” section, on the console’s home screen, and in the guide.
With this feature, games or apps can be grouped into collections. The groups are linked to the Xbox Live account, so they can be synchronized across multiple consoles.
Play faster with Fast Start
Fast Start for selected titles: At E3 2018, the new feature Fast Start was announced, which allows games to start twice as fast during download compared to before. The feature identifies the important files needed to start the games and prioritizes them, allowing titles to start faster while the rest is downloaded in the background.
Fast Start will be made available with Update 1806 for selected titles – however, initially only for English-language titles. These games will utilize Fast Start with the update:

Other features of the update
Improved search: With the update, the search can now be used anywhere on the dashboard by pressing the Y button. This feature is also already integrated into some applications.
Improvements for Mixer: For PC users, full mouse and keyboard support for operating the Share Controller in the web has been enabled, as well as Share Controller Key Bindings. Additionally, multi-touch support has been introduced, allowing multiple controls to be used simultaneously.
Furthermore, streaming on the platform can now be done in fullscreen mode using a webcam. Recommended cameras are Microsoft LifeCam Studio, Logitech HD Pro Webcam C922, Logitech Webcam C930e, and Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000.
Lastly, a number of changes and fixes have been made to improve overall video quality. Players should now experience enhanced performance when streaming bandwidth-intensive multiplayer games.
