New expansion, new trailer – here are the moving images for the new class of Diablo 4:
The first expansion for Diablo IV has been a hot topic on MeinMMO since its announcement. You probably already know that a new class is coming and that it will go to the new area Torajan. There will also be new skills, legendary glyphs, and paragon boards for all classes. But also mercenaries, which work similarly to the companions in Diablo 3 or the hirelings in Diablo 2.
By the way, colleague Benedict Grothaus was already able to play Vessel of Hatred and try out the new class. In the play report, the MeinMMO editor shows cautious excitement: I was at Blizzard and played the new class of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred – This is what the Spiritborn can do.
Metaphor: ReFantazio
- Role-playing game
- Developer: Atlus
- Publisher: SEGA
- Release date: October 11, 2024
- Platforms: PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox Series
Is this the trailer for the game of the year 2024? MeinMMO editor Karsten Scholz is optimistic!
When Atlus releases a new role-playing game, many RPG fans get excited. Especially when three stalwarts of the popular Persona role-playing series are part of the development team: Director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro.
Gameplay-wise as well as audiovisually, Metaphor: ReFantazio strongly resembles the quasi-predecessor Persona 5, which was released in Europe in April 2017. So you can expect turn-based battles as well as refined group and relationship systems. However, instead of being thrown into school, the new RPG will immerse you in a high-fantasy world.
The creature design seems to be wonderfully quirky again. The orchestral music pieces accompany the depicted battles and story sequences wonderfully in the trailers. And of course, time management plays a big role again.
To ensure that turn-based battles against light opponents don’t constantly slow you down, you can also switch to a fast real-time system. Alternatively, you can simply evade the creatures. Random encounters from other Japanese role-playing games won’t be found here. More on this: The name is terrible, but there’s no other role-playing game I’m looking forward to as much in 2024.
