7:16 PM: The sequel to Plague Tale shows new gameplay. The sibling duo must overcome new dangers.

7:13 PM: A big announcement! Anyone who owns the Xbox Game Pass and is linked with Riot Games gets all champions in League of Legends, Wild Rift, and Valorant as a gift. There are also bonuses for Teamfight Tactics and Legends of Runeterra. The Game Pass will be absolutely insane.

7:11 PM: An announcement about the Xbox Game Pass. In the coming years, Xbox promises more than 30 new games that will be released in the Game Pass next year.
7:09 PM: The voice of Morty from Rick & Morty introduces a new game, some crazy, wild game with absolutely ridiculous weapons in a bizarre sci-fi setting with plush toys and monsters.
What the hell is happening? High On Life looks like Rick & Morty if they were given too much freedom. The game will be console exclusive for Xbox.
7:08 PM: The next trailer is running. Hollow Knight: Silksong, where you play a sort of doll that must flatten various enemies with a sewing needle.
The game resembles a 2D Metroidvania with beautiful drawings and a lot of action. Many different enemies with special abilities stand in your way:
7:04 PM: Redfall shows gameplay. A group of players hunts vampires in large numbers. Apparently, the bloodsuckers have blocked out the sun and now people must fight for their survival.
The trailer showcases some of the playable characters with various weapons and even magical powers. Your task is to collect items and be as discreet as possible – or fight well. Redfall offers both action and stealth gameplay, plus a wealth of different enemies.
Some of the enemies explode, others are particularly fast. And to stand against them, you get some bizarre weapons that can simply freeze the bloodsuckers.
Then come strange “The Secret World” vibes. A door leads to another world showing distorted versions of reality, even more monsters, and a mystery that you apparently should uncover.
7:01 PM: The stream starts. The first trailer is running and it looks bloody.
6:57 PM: Meanwhile, about 200,000 viewers are watching the streams. The excitement is rising!
6:50 PM: The countdown has been running on the official stream for some time, and the pre-show at MonstersAndExplosions has already begun.
Information about the Xbox Showcase
What type of event is this?
- Similar to the Summer Game Fest 2022, many trailers will appear tonight, partly for new projects and partly information on the status of existing games.
- Unlike the Summer Game Fest, however, the showcase mainly presents games from and for Xbox and PC as well as from Bethesda.
- Within 90 minutes, you will be bombarded with information and trailers, sometimes interrupted by short talks with the developers.
What we expect: There were relatively few leaks and information in advance this year. However, at least 2 major titles are at stake. The first is Starfield, even though it is not coming until 2023, for which gameplay is finally expected to be shown. Whether a release date will be revealed remains to be seen.
The second major title is Diablo 4. The beta registration for Diablo 4 started shortly before the stream. Since Microsoft is currently in the process of purchasing Diablo creator Blizzard, many fans now suspect that more information will finally come for the game tonight.
Other expectations include:
- Wolfenstein 3 – The team here has “a great anticipation” for the stream
- a trailer for the new Indiana Jones game
- more on Halo and Forza
- further info on Fallout 76 and the expansion The Pitt
- Fable and Perfect Dark probably won’t have new information
Among our personal expectations and hopes are more on the new co-op game Redfall. Here gameplay or even a beta date would be appropriate.
MeinMMO author Max Handwerk also sincerely hopes for a new Guitar Hero. The series was produced by Activision, and Xbox head Phil Spencer announced before the acquisition that he would love to revive many old classics. Maybe it will start with this – even if the deal isn’t quite finalized yet.
