It took a long time, but now Blizzard has “taken action”. The quest log in World of Warcraft has been expanded, and you can now take on more quests.
Players of World of Warcraft find it hard to part with things. Whether it’s beautiful pet sets, some old collectible items, ancient crafting materials – or even quests. However, quests often become a problem, as you can only accept up to 25 missions simultaneously in WoW. At least until now. Because Blizzard has significantly raised the limit in the quest log.
What was the problem? While 25 quests alone for the Dragon Isles are probably sufficient, many players still have quests that they find hard to let go of. This could be a quest from an old raid, or truly long-term tasks, like in the garrison, where you must kill 500 characters of a certain race – a mission that can take months.
Giving up such quests would mean sacrificing progress made over weeks or months, which is why many find it hard to do.
What has changed? With a small hotfix, Blizzard has “suddenly” lifted the current limitation of 25 quests in the quest log and increased the limit to 35. From now on, you can accept and track an additional 10 missions. For twinks, this means that you can take on even more quests simultaneously when leveling in an area where there are many missions available (such as in Outland).
But this is also great for everyone else who want to accept every mission on the go without later feeling frustrated trying to find that one missing exclamation mark on the map.
Blizzard collects many “easy wins”: The community refers to what Blizzard is currently doing in World of Warcraft as collecting “easy wins”. This means improvements to the game that are relatively easy to implement but drastically enhance the gaming experience for many players. The increase of the quest log has been desired for many expansions. That Blizzard is willing to introduce this “on the side” is seen by many as a good sign.
