A new event has begun in World of Warcraft. However, time is running out, because those who want the rewards need to hurry.
In World of Warcraft, there is a new event currently running for the first time. The “Kalimdor Cup” event offers some exclusive rewards but also requires a bit of time. This way, you can already get a feel for what flying with dragons in the old world will eventually feel like.
What kind of event is this? In the Kalimdor Cup, there are a total of 16 different dragon races on the old continent of Kalimdor. Completing all the races rewards you with a new currency that you can exchange with the event vendor.
As with all other dragon races, there are “normal”, “advanced”, and “backward” modes. The goal is to beat the timer and ideally finish the race with a gold time to achieve victories and perform as best as possible.
How can I participate in the event? To be able to participate in the dragon races in Kalimdor, you should first travel to Valdrakken and visit Lord Andestrasz. You will find him at coordinates 26 / 48, on the western side of the Obsidian Hollow. There, you can accept the first quest and also view the vendor selling the rewards for the event.
However, note that the event only runs from August 15th to August 28th – you have about 2 weeks to earn all the rewards.
What rewards are available? All rewards are purely cosmetic. In addition to some customizations for your dragons, there is primarily a transmog set. WoW fans should already be familiar with the set, as the dwarf in the first cinematic of Dragonflight wore it. The dragon rider set consists of 7 individual pieces, each costing 20 of the new badges. In total, it costs 140 badges.
If you also want the customizations for your dragons, you will need another 100 badges.
If you have already purchased all the rewards, you can directly buy reputation at Valdrakken for surplus badges. However, this is only offered when you actually own all the items.
