A new quest in World of Warcraft finally allows you to make your Draenei really evil. MeinMMO shows you how to do it.
It was announced as one of the small highlights of Patch 10.1.7 Incarnation of Wrath, and now it is finally here. In World of Warcraft, players can now give their Draenei some special customizations that make them look significantly more sinister. We will tell you how to unlock the customizations for the ‘Man’ari-Eredar’ today (09/13/2023).
How to unlock Man’ari-Eredar customizations? You just need to complete a short quest chain. By the way, it is sufficient for the quest chain if you have reached level 70 – it does not matter whether you play a Draenei character or any other race. Once you have reached level 70, you can accept the quest ‘Prophecy Stirs’. This typically starts automatically. If not, you can start it in front of the palace in Stormwind (Alliance) or the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar (Horde).
After that, you must travel to the Vindikaar at the Exodar and can follow the story from there.
The short quest chain is then very linear and easy to follow. If you are interested in the story, you should talk to the NPCs in between to learn more about their perspectives and views.
What are these customizations? The new customizations allow Draenei characters to take on some new skin colors. These include a darker shade of blue, as well as two shades of red that are already known from Eredar in the rest of the game.
Especially RP fans should be pleased, as the ability to embody a Man’ari has been long desired. But everyone else will probably have fun as well, as the new customizations also fit wonderfully with the new Draenei warlocks.
The Man’ari are the Eredar who stayed behind on Argus and joined the Burning Legion under Sargeras, Archimonde, and Kil’Jaeden. They accepted the ‘gift’ of demonic magic (Fel) and thus gained very potent magic, but also became corrupted, often resulting in a changed skin color and other visual characteristics.
How is this explained in the lore? Historically, only a very small part of the former Legion servants join the Draenei. The vast majority of Man’ari-Eredar still belong to the Legion and are trying to make contact with Sargeras in various cults or seize power for themselves.
So, even if you will soon see many ‘red Draenei’ as players – the vast majority of Man’ari-Eredar have not joined the Alliance.
Is there more after unlocking? Yes. You also receive a toy that transforms you into a ‘real’ Man’ari for an hour – with the cool fel-fire scars. After completing the quest, you should speak to the blacksmith Gaal at the Krokul.
This one sells you new transmog items that are all based on Draenei culture – including a new toy, Path of the Naaru, which you can use as a hearthstone.
What do you think of the unlocks for the Man’ari-Eredar and how did you like the quest?
If you prefer a mount, you can currently unlock the cool ‘Mimiron’s Jump Jets’!
