This is the overview: On the continent of Northrend, there are various areas where you can level up. Starting zones include the Borean Tundra and the Howling Fjord. But what comes next and which area should you be in at which level?

Northrend: Where to go with which level in WoW Classic?
Here you should level up: The level recommendations are ranges. If you’re slightly above or slightly below, you can still gain XP there. However, there are certain quests that only unlock at certain levels. If you are also well above the level recommendation, then the mobs are often so far below your level that they give little XP.
Level recommendations in Northrend:
- Howling Fjord: Level 68-72
- Borean Tundra: Level 68-72
- Dragonblight: Level 71-75
- Grizzly Hills: Level 73-75
- Zul’Drak: Level 74-76
- Sholazar Basin: Level 76-78
- Storm Peaks: Level 77-80
- Crystalsong Forest: Level 77-80
- Icecrown: Level 77-80
This is what you need to know: There are areas where level requirements overlap. You can start wandering into Dragonblight at level 71 or continue in the starting areas. The Grizzly Hills could be completely skipped. Much is left up to you.
Also, the end areas Crystalsong Forest, Icecrown, and Storm Peaks overlap. It depends on personal preferences where you like to level. This can relate to the type of opponents or even the visual appeal. There are few quests available for you in Crystalsong Forest. Dalaran hovers above the forest. From time to time, you will be sent into the forest, but the actual endgame questing is in Icecrown and Storm Peaks. For later reputation quests, it might be worth it to quest through all the areas later.
