The first guilds have reached the final boss Lord Denathrius in WoW. But who will get the World First Kill of the leader of Revendreth?
In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the “World First” race is currently on in the first raid Castle Nathria. After several guilds gathered at 8/10 bosses yesterday, the American guild Complexity Limit has now surged ahead. They were the first to defeat the Generals of the Stone Legion on Mythic and are now facing the final boss – Lord Denathrius.
What is the current status? Complexity Limit managed to be the first guild to defeat the Generals of the Stone Legion and thus attack the last boss of Castle Nathria. In the meantime, Echo has also caught up and was able to defeat the Generals of the Stone Legion as well. So now two guilds are working on the current final boss Lord Denathrius.
In 3rd place is currently the European guild Pieces with 8 out of 10 bosses defeated. After that, there’s a whole bunch of guilds that have now defeated 7 out of 10 bosses. This also includes well-known names like Method, Aversion, FatSharkYes, or Exorsus.
The race remains exciting.
Generals lasted longer than N’Zoth
Interestingly, the Generals of the Stone Legion lasted longer in Mythic mode than N’Zoth, the final boss of the last raid – at least when counting the pure number of attempts. N’Zoth was killed after “only” 274 attempts, while the Generals of the Stone Legion needed 292 attempts to be defeated.
This was mainly because the Generals of the Stone Legion still had several bugs that needed to be fixed live by the developers. Some mechanics were simply impossible to play and caused damage spikes that knocked individual players out of the game with no chance to react. After these errors were fixed, the boss then fell that same night.
Now it’s on to Lord Denathrius.
Is there a secret phase with Denathrius? Yes. In World of Warcraft, it regularly occurs that the final boss of a raid has a secret phase that is only available in Mythic mode. This phase is “hidden,” usually not publicly tested, and even the adventure guide has only vague information about it.
The secret phase apparently involves the use of mirrors. They play an important role in Revendreth and Castle Nathria as they serve as teleporters. Dataminers have already read out a few effects from the game data. There seem to be several phases that players must split into. However, players must be careful not to touch each other in the different phases, as this will lead to instant death.
Exact details will likely be available as soon as guilds can showcase their first really good attempts on Denathrius.
