In the World First race of World of Warcraft the American guilds have once again gained an advantage. They are already halfway done before Europe even starts.
In World of Warcraft, the “hot phase” has begun again. The World First Race for the first kill of Sylvanas Windrunner on Mythic difficulty has started. Overall, 10 bosses are waiting to be beaten by the professional guilds into the digital afterlife. However, half of the bosses in the Sanctum of Domination have already been defeated before European guilds can even play.
What happened? American realms traditionally start nearly half a day earlier into the “new week” in World of Warcraft. Therefore, the opening of the raid “Sanctum of Domination” on Mythic difficulty has also occurred a few hours earlier.
This, in turn, led to the fact that 5 out of 10 bosses have already been defeated on American realms on Mythic while European guilds could not even participate yet.
Can Europe still catch up? In principle, yes, this has often been the case in the past. Usually, the last fights in a raid are particularly tough, so guilds spend several days or even weeks there until they can defeat the final boss. It often shifts which guild finishes first in the race.
Which guild is currently leading? At the time of publishing this article (14.07.2021, 12:00 Uhr, via wowprogress.com), the US guild Complexity Limit leads. It is the only one that has already been able to defeat the first 5 bosses including Dormazain.
The other US guilds are already a bit behind and have only managed to defeat “only” 3 out of 10 bosses. Among them are “Soniqs Imperative”, BDGG, and Blood Legion.
How are the EU guilds doing? After the start of the new week, the EU guilds also immediately started the raid. Echo has since worked its way up to 22nd place and has also already defeated 3 out of 10 bosses.
Basically, there should be much more activity in the EU guilds throughout the afternoon and evening – as some are also playing the other content like Torghast or the covenant campaign to increase their renown and unlock the new legendary items.
