Worgen will soon take a slice from the Dracthyr. Because in World of Warcraft they can decide more about their form in the future.
Since the release of Dragonflight and especially the Dracthyr, the Worgen have been enviously looking at the new race. Because just like the furry friends from Gilneas, the Dracthyr have two forms they can take into battle. But while the Dracthyr have some nice settings for the behavior of their dragon form, Worgen have so far been left out. However, the Patch 10.1 The Ember of Neltharion is supposed to change that.
What kind of ability do Dracthyr have? Dracthyr, like other dragons in World of Warcraft, have the ability to switch between two forms. While they are almost constantly forced to remain in Dracthyr form during battle – because some spells and animations require it – they can freely choose whether to roam as Dracthyr or in humanoid form outside of combat.
With the spell “Chosen Identity,” a preset can even be made here. You can choose whether the Dracthyr automatically switches back to humanoid form at the end of the battle or not.
What do Worgen get? With Patch 10.1, Worgen will also enjoy such an ability. All Worgen players will receive the ability “Calm the Wolf,” which essentially provides the same functionality for Worgen. This allows Worgen to freely decide whether they want to switch back to their human form automatically after the fight or – as before – remain in Worgen form.
Among fans, the change seems to be well received and could even encourage some to consider playing a Worgen in the future.
