WoW Shadowlands still in summer 2020? The hope seems futile, as the legendary cloak reveals that a lot of time will pass.
Although Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth has only been live for a few weeks, some players of World of Warcraft are already fed up with it. There has been harsh criticism of the missing support mechanics for alt characters or the rather botched end cinematic for N’Zoth. Many fans are already eagerly looking at the next expansion Shadowlands, whose alpha test should start in the coming days. But when will the release of Shadowlands be? The legendary cloak suggests: not before October 2020.
What does the legendary cloak have to do with it? The legendary cloak Ashjra’kamas can currently be upgraded each week by one level. Currently, the maximum is level 12. The highest rank 15 will be achieved in 3 weeks. But that is far from the end for the legendary cloak.
Once the cloak is at rank 15, there will be another upgrade each week, allowing you to increase the Corruption Resistance by 3 points. This is possible 25 times, increasing the Corruption Resistance from 50 to a total of 125. This allows you to wear even more items with Corruption effects and further enhance character strength.
What does this mean for Shadowlands? In clear terms, this means that the legendary cloak Ashjra’kamas will only be fully upgraded in about 28 weeks – that’s mid-September. The first players will have their cloak “completely” in the WoW week of September 9. It is extremely unlikely that Blizzard will release the next expansion Shadowlands before the current progress has reached the maximum.
At best, we should expect a pre-patch for version 9.0 of World of Warcraft in October, but likely even later. Only then could players also benefit a bit from their legendary cloak and its maximum upgrade level.
