The world quests in World of Warcraft are being reshuffled with the patch. Those looking for something nice should act fast today!
Tomorrow, the “great little” patch 7.1.5 is coming for World of Warcraft, bringing a lot of changes to balancing, game performance, and overall quality of life. However, such adjustments also have a few “downsides” that players should be prepared for.
In patch 7.1 (currently still on the live servers), there was an annoying bug where the emissary quests of the Kirin Tor could not be completed. Those who tried to complete 4 world quests for this faction on the “last day” of the emissary quest occasionally found that there were not enough missions to claim the emissary cache.
Blizzard temporarily fixed this bug by simply granting all players immediate completion of the emissary quest.
Since then, this bug has not recurred, but patch 7.1.5 aims to prevent such a problem from happening again. For this reason, all world quests will be regenerated with the deployment of the patch. So if you spot a world quest with a nice reward today and see that it is still active for several days, don’t let that mislead you.
In plain terms, here’s what will happen tomorrow: All world quests will be reshuffled. This means that currently active quests will completely disappear or will be provided with new rewards after the patch.
Only your set of emissary quests will remain (like the Dreamweavers), so you can continue to make progress there and ultimately claim the cache.
So: If you see a nice upgrade in rewards today, make sure to secure it quickly.
Elsewhere, we wonder whether paladins still correspond to their class fantasy.
