A hotfix pleases all players of World of Warcraft in war mode. Players at a lower level no longer have an advantage.
In World of Warcraft, players at a higher level are again superior to their colleagues at lower levels, at least in the PvP of the war mode. Here, Blizzard has now implemented a hotfix that aims to ensure that players at a higher level always have an advantage over players at a lower level.
What was the problem? With Battle for Azeroth, scaling is active in the PvP of the war mode. This ensured that PvP was always possible on a relatively fair basis. A player at level 112 could therefore compete with a player at level 120. However, this was faulty and led to problems due to certain effects, such as those from legendaries from Legion. Many players at lower levels were able to easily overpower players at level 120. This scaling has now been weakened.
Scaling in world PvP is unpopular: In general, this form of scaling is not well-received by fans. There are players who enjoy it, but the vocal part of the community rejects it. They believe that a character at the maximum level should have a clear advantage. This is part of a PvP world, that players at the maximum level can come along and against whom one might struggle.
Players also see problems with scaling elsewhere. Some players claim that quests can be completed more effectively, if they remove the Heart of Azeroth and trinkets. However, this is still a hotly debated topic in the community.
What do you think of these changes? Do you agree that players at max level should always be more powerful in PvP? Or did you think it was good that even low-level players had a chance in the open world?
