If you want the special mounts from the Pre-Event of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, you have to hurry. They will be gone in a few hours!
In a few hours, the seventh expansion of World of Warcraft, Battle for Azeroth, will launch. This also marks the end of the Pre-Event “War of the Thorns”, which is currently luring players to Darkshore. If you haven’t completed the questline for the event yet, you should hurry! Because with the end of the Pre-Event, the two mounts “Hippogryphs of Teldrassil” and “Plaguebat of Undercity” will be lost forever. They are only available during the event.
War of the Thorns brings mounts. To unlock the Plaguebat of Undercity and the Hippogryph of Teldrassil, the entire questline for “War of the Thorns” must be completed. This begins either with King Anduin in Stormwind (Alliance) or with Sylvanas Windrunner in Undercity (Horde). Afterwards, you will handle the attack or defense of Darkshore.
The questline concludes with the Cinematic “Warbringer: Sylvanas”, after watching which you will also receive the mounts.
One faction is enough. However, if you have only one character at maximum level and have completed the questline only on either Horde or Alliance side, you don’t have to worry. Unlocking the Alliance mount will also automatically unlock the Horde variant and vice versa. It is not necessary to experience the War of the Thorns from both sides.
