Void Elves in World of Warcraft can soon have their beloved look. But there is a catch that still needs to be fixed.
If there is one thing in World of Warcraft that many always wish for “more,” it’s customization options for characters. Whether it’s hairstyles, skin tones, horns, or any other details. Effects and traits that are known from important story characters, like Alleria, are particularly popular.
Such a cool effect exists in Midnight for Void Elves – at least if they find the right vendor.
What kind of effect is this? Visually, the effect is identical to the ability “Entropic Embrace.” This is one of the racial abilities of Void Elves. About once per minute (in combat), Entropic Embrace is triggered and envelops the character in a blue void hue for 12 seconds while benefiting from a small buff.
Most are probably familiar with this effect from Alleria in “Legion,” after she absorbed the dark Naaru L’ura.
Where can you buy the effect? The item named “Night’s Embrace” can be purchased in Midnight at inns in the new area “Voidstorm.” A potion costs 5 gold and grants the character the visual effect of entropic embrace for 30 minutes. There is no cooldown.
The potion can only be used by Void Elves.
Does it always work? No, unfortunately not. Like many visual customizations, the effect disappears immediately in combat. The reason for this is probably to maintain visual clarity in fights, so it is clear when the character actually has the beneficial effect.
However, keep in mind that this is still in beta. Until the release of the expansion, there could still be significant changes to this item, so that perhaps its use in combat will be possible.
A good idea, but the community wants more
In the WoW subreddit, most are happy about this adjustment, but they question why such an effect can’t simply be a part of the normal character customization at the barber or purchasable as a toy so it can be used permanently without having to buy new potions repeatedly. Others want exactly the opposite:

However, the Haranir receive by far the best visual effects in World of Warcraft Midnight. The new race has so many customization options that you can essentially recreate all other races well with the Haranir. This is also one of the reasons why many will likely play Haranir soon.
