The race for the “World First Kill” in Castle Nathria of WoW has begun. America is off to a strong start and has already defeated 7 out of 10 bosses.
For many players, the most exciting time in World of Warcraft has returned. This is not only due to the release of the Shadowlands expansion, but also especially because of the “World First” race in the new raid Castle Nathria. The mythical mode has been accessible for a few hours now, and guilds from all over the world are trying to reach Count Denathrius first to defeat him. The American guilds are off to a strong start – they have already defeated 7 out of 10 bosses.
What is going on? In WoW, everything is currently focused on the “World First Kill” of Count Denathrius, the final boss of Castle Nathria, for the professional guilds. While our realms have only been online for a few hours, the American guilds in World of Warcraft have already made good progress.
Which guilds are currently in the lead? As of now (11:45 AM), the guild Complexity Limit is leading the race for the World First of Count Denathrius. They have defeated 7 out of 10 bosses in Castle Nathria on mythical difficulty and have a significant lead over the other guilds. In second place is BDGG (Big Dumb Gaming), with 4 out of 10 bosses defeated.
After that comes a whole series of guilds that are at 3 out of 10 bosses – including the European guild Echo (rank 10), which was only founded a few months ago and consists partly of former Method members.
The newly formed guild Method is even further behind and is currently in 41st place, with only 2 out of 10 bosses defeated.
Why is America so far ahead? As has always been the case, the servers in America go online a few hours earlier. This is due to the time difference, but also because maintenance works in America take place on Tuesday and not until Wednesday like in our region. Therefore, American guilds typically have an advantage of 10 to 14 hours, depending on the length of maintenance. This extra time helps to defeat the first bosses before European guilds can even catch up.
How long will the race continue? This is uncertain. The first raid of an expansion is traditionally somewhat easier and ends quickly, but Blizzard has made the final fights harder again just yesterday and given the bosses stronger abilities. So how long the last three bosses will remain is uncertain.
