Among US Twitch streamers, the hardcore guild for WoW “OnlyFangs” is a major topic. Many big creators like Sodapoppin and xQc are part of it. However, even the biggest fame doesn’t help if one doesn’t stick to agreements.
Why was xQc kicked out? With his action, Sodapoppin sparked some discussion in the gaming community when he kicked the streamer xQc from the hardcore guild “OnlyFangs” in World of Warcraft Classic. During a livestream on November 20, it was noted that xQc had not logged into the game for quite some time. After all, the goal of quickly reaching level 60 is at the top of the priority list.
Without hesitation, the “lazy” player was kicked out, and Sodapoppin explained the reasoning behind it. Shortly thereafter, xQc chimed in and revealed how he now wants to use the help of his viewers.
“We need a damn wake-up call!”
This is how Sodapoppin proceeded: In the livestream, he checks the activities of individual players in the guild OnlyFangs, where he is the guild master. Those who have not been online for several days, like a player with 4 days of inactivity at level 15, will be kicked out without hesitation. Arriving at xQc’s character, the guild master notices:
“Last online 4 days ago, level 31. I think I will kick him. Just a little ego check, clearly,” and kicks the level-31 rogue Djuicer. He then continues: “As for the re-invitation: Just damn continue. Four days offline, when the quote [level] 60 is supposed to be reached by December 8, is unacceptable. We need a damn wake-up call!”

This is how the community reacts: In the subreddit LivestreamFail, the kick and the justification are discussed. Many viewers show understanding, though. The top comment comes from user Lordsokka and says: “I mean, at least one person should take it seriously, and that is the guild master. He is doing his job.”
Player xseodz says: “Honestly, many people don’t understand how exhausting raiding can be. Especially streamers who think the world revolves around them.
I’m a grown man with a wife and kid, and if my RL tells me that I must be there on a Wednesday at 7 PM, then I have to be there, or 19 players wait for 3 hours […].
This is also the reason why I stopped raiding because the time commitment is enormous.”
The-Loracks says: “That makes sense. Many people only joined because everyone else did. My favorite moment was when he asked if Kyle’s character was dead, he got the answer ‘no’ and said ‘okay’ and still kicked him. It’s really not that hard to show that you’re committed, just one or two levels a day. I must say I really enjoy the RP on the hardcore server, just like one of the mods from [Sodapoppin] showed up recently and gave Penta and Sodakite guild emblems and they did a little RP. I know the ultimate goal is level 60 and raiding, but the journey there was just as much fun.”
This is what xQc says: On the same day, the streamer reacted to his expulsion and addressed his fans: “Was I kicked out? Guys, guys. I need people to find something to buy the necklaces. As soon as possible. I will get you the gold for it. You need to keep buying out the whole market over and over again. We will make it, Chat!”
With the help of his viewers, he wants to turn the situation around. Do you think Sodapoppin acted right?
