A new item in Patch 8.1 of World of Warcraft makes the Twink life easier. Flight points are available with just a few clicks.
For Twinks, unlocking flight points in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth will soon be easier. At least if you still need flight points in Zandalar and Kul Tiras.
How do you unlock flight points? With Patch 8.1, characters who have already completed the achievement “Pathfinder of Battle for Azeroth, Part One” can buy a new item.
The “7th Legion Scouting Map” (Alliance) or the “Honorbound Scouting Map” (Horde) is account-bound and can be sent to Twinks of both factions. When used, the character unlocks numerous flight points in Kul Tiras or Zandalar. So there is no need for manual travel.
Why is the item being introduced? Many players have not leveled their alt characters through quests and leveling zones in recent weeks, but have used other methods. For example, some only use dungeons for leveling, while others farm one island expedition after another.
If such a Twink reaches level 120 and wants to experience endgame content, such as world quests for better equipment, they find themselves at a loss. All flight points must be unlocked manually.
Thus, one has to ride through Kul Tiras or Zandalar for 2-3 hours until they can finally start with the “real” gameplay. This issue is resolved with the new unlocking feature.
How much does the map cost? Currently, the price in the database is 100 gold coins and the items can only be used once. However, this could change before the release of Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance.
It will still take a while before you can fly in Battle for Azeroth yourself.
