Thanks to various parallel events, you can currently level characters to the max level in World of Warcraft extremely easily. You don’t even have to rely on the usual quests.
What kind of events are these? MeinMMO demon Cortyn already reported about a week ago that currently several worldwide events are taking place in WoW, which offer stackable bonuses for earned experience:
- 10% is available thanks to WoW’s birthday buff. Every character has this buff for the entire duration of the event.
- 10% for an additional 12 hours is available for the daily quest “Blessing of the Bronze Dragonflight” in Tanaris at the birthday event.
- 10% is gained from the Hallow’s End event when you ignite the Wickerman.
- An additional 10% has been provided by the Darkmoon Faire since November 3, 2024. There, you can ride the carousel or the roller coaster and get another 10% bonus on reputation and XP for one hour.
Additionally, there are further bonuses for earned experience:
- An additional bonus comes from the “Distillate of Ten Lands,” which you can buy in Boralus or Zandalar. This grants characters below level 50 an additional 10%.
- Up to 25% can be earned through the achievement “Five Warband Mentors: The War Within” – that means 5% additional XP for each character you already have at level 80 (up to a maximum of 5 characters).
- Additional 10% is available when you activate war mode.
And on top of all that, Earthy also benefits from the racial bonus “Amazing Wonders,” which provides a notable XP bonus for discovering locations. More about this here: Players level the new race without fights and quests – thanks to an actually “useless” effect.

How did the player utilize these buffs? On Reddit, secretninjafox explains that he leveled his freshly created Earthling to level 74 solely through the “Trick or Treat” content and achievements of Hallow’s End as well as by exploring various regions (like Northrend and the Outland). His XP bonus via Warband is supposed to be at 5 percent.

How does the community react? secretninjafox enjoys 230 upvotes. However, his inventory overflowing with “Trick or Treat” goodies gets some comments.

- Howard_Jones jokes on Reddit: “If my bags looked like that, I would just delete the character and create a new one. That would save time.”
- LouserDouser explains on Reddit: “The items are the reason I prefer to collect flowers.”
Several other players point out that some of the currently available XP buffs do not affect exploring or quests. User zeekim also asks on Reddit how one can stand this kind of leveling for more than a few minutes. He finds it so incredibly boring that he only made it to level 20.

- JT99-FirstBallot found the leveling method great (via Reddit): “It was relaxing, and it was nice to see many areas I hadn’t visited in a long time. I also work from home, so it helped pass the time of my workday. And it only took 4 hours to get to level 70.”
