Patch 9.2 of World of Warcraft is closer than we all thought. Today, Blizzard shows something new – and has already released a first teaser.
World of Warcraft has just received its Patch 9.1.5, but that alone cannot save the game – the developers know this too. Although Patch 9.1.5 brings many good adjustments, new content is needed, as most players have already seen everything that the Shadowlands have to offer. Fortunately, Blizzard is bringing fresh information, and that already today.
What has been announced? This evening, on November 11, 2022, at 7:00 PM, the developers will release a preview video for Patch 9.2. The video is scheduled to go live on the YouTube channel of Warcraft.
Since it is probably “only” a presentation video, no questions will be answered there, but rather a preview of the next major content patch will be given.
Are there already clues? Yes. Along with the announcement, a short video snippet was also shown. There, various runes with geometric shapes can be seen. Unlike the domination runes, which glow blue, these shapes are golden – possibly filled with Light.
Steve Danuser, the story chief at World of Warcraft, also made a somewhat cryptic tweet and says:
So much awaits discovery in geometry. So many truths lie in its intersections. The fractals.
This is a quote from a book that players can find in Tazavesh. The book is about the six cosmic powers of the universe and a possible seventh power that holds everything together. It is therefore assumed that we will learn more about this power in Patch 9.2 – and how Zovaal, the Jailor, intends to use it to achieve his goals.

When can we expect Patch 9.2? Even though it seems unlikely that Blizzard will announce a concrete release date for Patch 9.2 tonight, some speculation can already be made.
If the patch is announced today, then the PTR will probably go online sometime this week or at the latest next week. It usually takes about 3 months until the patch is fully ready for release. In the best case, the release of the patch could then be expected around mid-February 2022.
