WoW: Today determines Azeroth's fate – There are wild theories

Today is a big day in World of Warcraft, as the story will take a decisive turn. Fans are already speculating wildly.

Original report: Today (07/09/2019) is a big day for WoW lore fans. In a few hours, the new raid “Eternal Palace” opens in America, where players must fight against Azshara’s servants and also against the great queen of the Naga herself.

At the end of the final battle, players can expect another important cinematic, which will surely answer many questions and raise new ones.

What is it about? The outcome of the boss battle against Queen Azshara is still a mystery. However, it is currently suspected that Azshara does not die, but survives the final battle. This is suggested by the model viewer, as Azshara does not have a proper death animation.

Additionally, some voice lines from patch 8.2 have already been extracted. It is indicated that Azshara will likely use the Heart of Azeroth from the players to fuel a ritual that destroys the shackles of the Old God N’Zoth.

These theories exist: There are many fan theories. The most popular is that Azshara has already won simply by us walking into her trap and coming to her. It would be logical and conceivable, that Azshara uses the Heart of Azeroth to free N’Zoth from his prison and thus allow the Black Empire to rise again.

Another theory suggests that Azshara herself undergoes a transformation and is elevated to something even more powerful. After all, the developers have already announced that the name of the patch “Azshara’s Rise” should be taken quite literally. It has also been said, that there would be an “unexpected twist”. Thus, she will not just die, leave loot behind, and peacefully pass away.

Some even believe that the “Black Empire” will be the next expansion for World of Warcraft and will bring a revision of the old world. This would come along with the level squish, which has already been announced by Blizzard.

This evening, the main villain of BfA will be revealed

This evening we will know the main antagonist: It is clear that we will definitely find out who the great main villain of Battle for Azeroth will be this evening. All signs point to N’Zoth – but maybe there will be a surprise.

Which of these theories will turn out to be true (or whether it will be completely different), we will find out in a few hours. As soon as the cinematic is released, we will of course report on it.
