Do you farm rare enemies in Korthia, the new area in World of Warcraft? Then you urgently need the Silver Shardhide Whistle. We will show you where to find it.
In the area Korthia, the new small zone from Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination, there is much to do. Especially the numerous rare enemies (Rare Spawns) are highly sought after. After all, they drop some really good loot. This includes not only armor but also a lot of Anima, resources for the Archivist, toys, and mounts. However, getting to a rare enemy right after it spawns is difficult. But there is an item that helps you immensely.
What kind of item is it? It’s the Silver Shardhide Whistle. It is a toy, meaning it doesn’t take up inventory space. When used, it summons a Shardhide for 2 minutes that you can ride. The catch: For the first 20 seconds, the Shardhide boosts you to a speed of a whopping 410%! This allows you to cover great distances in a matter of moments.
After the 20 seconds are up, you can continue riding the Shardhide, but your movement speed will be slowed down. You should then remove the buff and switch back to a normal mount.
How to get the toy “Silver Shardhide Whistle”
How do you find the Silver Shardhide Whistle? The Silver Shardhide Whistle requires only a few minutes of effort and there are no difficult prerequisites to get it. Just head to Korthia at the coordinates 47 / 29. When you look at the tree, you will see a purple glowing nest at the top. That is the treasure.
To get the treasure from the tree, you need to use a trick. Look around the area. In several spots, you should see a bit of sparkle, where you can pick up a “Toxic Moth.”
With the moth, you gain a new ability for 5 minutes, but you can only use it once. You can temporarily tame one of the Shardhides to ride it. However, the following applies:
- The Shardhide must not be in combat with anyone, so you need to use the moth from a distance.
- The ride breaks if the Shardhide is attacked. So clear the area around the tree generously.
Tame a Shardhide now and ride it directly against the tree! This will cause the treasure to fall to the ground and you can loot it, which will immediately grant you the Silver Shardhide Whistle.
If the attempt fails, don’t worry. You can find the moth again almost immediately. It will be located in a different spot in the area.
What does this help with? The massive speed boost for 20 seconds is enough to traverse nearly half of Korthia. The speed is on par with that of a flying mount – which are not allowed in Korthia. If you often find yourself arriving just a few seconds late to a rare enemy, you should definitely secure the whistle. After just a few days, you won’t want to do without it.
