Warriors receive some powerful buffs. But changes are also coming for Death Knights and Druids in World of Warcraft.
The latest raid “Battle of Dazar’Alor” has been active in World of Warcraft for a few days now, and Blizzard is diligently analyzing the first data from the raiders. The developers seem to have concluded that some classes are not performing as intended.
Therefore, there is now a series of hotfixes that will go live in America and Europe with the next maintenance – that is, on January 30, just in time for the opening of the mythic variant of the raid.
What changes are there? A total of three classes will be altered.
- Warriors specializing in weapons are the big winners of the hotfix, as they receive a significant damage buff on much of their abilities.
- For Death Knights, only a single ability is being enhanced, but this will finally make Death’s Call a real alternative that would find its place in many rotations.
- Druids specialized in “Restoration” will have to deal with a double-edged sword. The healing of one spell will be increased, but the effect of their mastery will be reduced. This is more of a balancing of overall performance.
Patch Notes for the patch on January 30
The following patch notes detail all planned changes:
Death Knight (Unholy)
- Death’s Call now deals 20% additional damage.
Druid (Restoration)
- Bloom now heals 25% more.
- The effect of mastery: Harmony is reduced by 6%.
Warrior (Arms)
- Mortal Strike, Execute, Crush, Overwhelm, and Wounded now deal 8% additional damage each.
What do you think about these changes? Are your classes affected? Or are you not among the selected classes and think that yours should also be buffed?
