With Patch 9.1 of WoW: Shadowlands, there are many new mounts. A few of them are available to every covenant just like that. We will show you the stylish mounts of your covenant.
At BlizzCon 2021, there was extensive discussion about the upcoming Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination. In addition to many new features, such as a raid, a small area, or a mega-dungeon, there is also a lot for all collector fans among WoW players. Particularly, the mounts from the covenant campaign are likely to be a great highlight.
What kind of mounts are these? The mounts were presented at BlizzCon as rewards for the new chapters of the covenant campaign. You will receive them after you have experienced some adventures in Korthia, the new area, and advanced the story.
Each covenant gets its own mount, which is completely tailored to the respective covenant and thematically fits. These little creatures are:
Kyrians receive a mount that visually resembles a mix of the Provosts and Phalynxes. With three variants – white, silver-golden, and black, the mount should fit many transmog options.
For the Necrolords, everything must be somehow disgusting, and that remains the case. Necrolords receive a type of carrion fly in three different colors, the stench of which is surely not for everyone.
Night Fae receive an interesting mix of cloud serpent and fox, which fits the flair of Ardenweald well. Again, there are three colors, white, light brown, and reddish.
Last but not least, it’s the Venthyr’s turn. They can look forward to truly impressive stoneborn that will serve as mounts in the future. With red glowing wings, they also visually fit well with the armor sets of the Venthyr and allow for a stylish flight through the Shadowlands.
How do you get these mounts? The respective mounts will be unlocked along with the flying ability in Shadowlands. This means that those who have completed the story of Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination will unlock the mount of their respective covenant.
Whether you can use the Kyrian mount on a Night Fae character after unlocking it is still unclear. However, if the limitation is based on previous unlocks of the covenants, then the mounts will only be usable by players of the respective covenant and clearly show at first glance to whom you have pledged your loyalty.
Are you looking forward to the new mounts? Which one appeals to you particularly and which will definitely collect dust in your collection? Let us know in the comments.
