The North of Lordaeron
With the redesign of the game world during Cataclysm, all of Azeroth became accessible for flying mounts. All of Azeroth? No, a small area in the North of Lordaeron (above Tirisfal) stubbornly refuses to be explored. Although some players have managed to breach the invisible wall, the area behind it is simply not completely designed.
In books and short stories, there are always references to places north of Lordaeron – so it would be possible that there is still a settlement, a castle, or even a whole area populated by humans that has not yet been implemented in the game.
Does Blizzard still have plans for anything there? Fans suspect a possible harbor or a small “additional area” if the Sylvanas plot gains a bit of momentum and the Forsaken finally break free from the Horde’s restraints. On the other hand, it is unlikely that Blizzard will make any “big” changes to the old world again – after all, Cataclysm was received with mixed feelings by the player base.
