In World of Warcraft, it is getting exciting again. The best guilds in the world are trying to defeat Lord Denathrius first. Who will win?
For some fans, the most exciting days in World of Warcraft are returning, as the “World First” race in Shadowlands begins. It leads into Castle Nathria, the seat of power in Revendreth.
What kind of raid is this? Castle Nathria is the entry-level raid and therefore still relatively easy, although some nerfs were necessary in the first days. With 10 bosses, the raid is average in length, but is considered a full-fledged raid tier.
Historically, Castle Nathria is the seat of power of Count Denathrius. He is the leader of the Venthyr and an important character in Shadowlands, as he is in cahoots with the Jailer and is primarily responsible for the Anima drought that is currently plaguing all realms of the Shadowlands.
How long does the race last? That is uncertain. Typically, the races for mythic raids last one to two weeks, but sometimes they are significantly shorter or longer. Often, only a few bosses present a massive bottleneck before the rest can be finished off in quick succession.
The winner is ultimately the one who manages to defeat Count Denathrius in mythic mode first.
Which guilds should one keep an eye on? The big guilds of course cannot miss the race. The “usual suspects” are back in the game and should be watched closely. They are:
- Method: After a major scandal in Battle for Azeroth, the guild has been restructured and is trying to reconnect with past successes to score some first kills. (Link to Method’s page)
- Echo: Many former Method members have switched to Echo and are trying to establish a new pro guild here. (Link to Echo’s Twitch stream)
- Complexity Limit: The US guild has always been in intense competition with Method in recent years. For a long time they were in second place, but they managed to win the last “World First” race for the kill of N’Zoth. They are therefore the “defending champions”. (Link to Complexity Limit’s page)
Of course, there are many other guilds also participating in the race. You can check out the most promising guilds and their progress after the race starts on wowprogress.
When does it start? The race does not start simultaneously. In America, the raid is already accessible this evening. In Europe, the raid will only start after the maintenance tomorrow morning.
As soon as there is a winner or particularly exciting circumstances, you will of course read about it on MeinMMO.
In Castle Nathria, there was too much loot – Blizzard is changing that again.
