The Winter Veil festival in World of Warcraft is on – new rewards are available in 2016.
It is the time of the major holiday events. After Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch and Hearthstone have already been celebrating, World of Warcraft is joining in now. Since today, December 16th, the Winter Veil festival is taking place in Azeroth. Until January 2, 2017, all players can participate in the various festive activities with their characters and claim the numerous rewards that are only available during Winter Veil.
For the year 2017, there are a handful of innovations. In the major cities (Dalaran, Ironforge, and Orgrimmar), snow globes can now be found that allow flying and temporarily transform the player into a Winter Veil gnome. But there are also innovations for toy collectors, as a box of “Winter Veil Disguise Clothing” allows the entire raid to slip into festive clothing for a short time – even outside the event.
Also remember that the gifts under the Winter Veil tree (Orgrimmar and Ironforge) cannot be opened until the afternoon of December 25th. This year, in addition to the gifts from previous years, there is an “Endothermic Blaster” that reminds players of Mei from Overwatch.
