The Guild Method is running out of time in World of Warcraft. Because after a week, the US players will receive a small advantage again.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore is a real challenge in the mythic mode of the Battle of Dazar’alor. She is currently the toughest boss in World of Warcraft and is being tackled by over 30 guilds, all eager for the World First Kill. So far, Jaina has survived for a week, and Method is very close to the First Kill – but time is running out for them before US guilds gain another advantage.
Weekly Reset strengthens US guilds: The weekly reset happens in America on Tuesday. This means that US guilds can dive into a “fresh” version of the Battle of Dazar’alor tonight. This gives them access to 8 bosses, each dropping new loot and thus better gear for the players. This item advantage for a few hours could be the tipping point that allows US guilds like Limit to achieve the First Kill.
In Europe, the Weekly Reset occurs a few hours later, on Wednesday morning.
If you want to follow the race live, you can watch the Guild Method here.
How far is Method? Method’s best attempt has brought Jaina down to 9.9% of her health. If the mythic fight ends the same way as the other versions of Jaina, then only 4.9% is needed to defeat Jaina. Meanwhile, it’s unclear how far their competitors at Limit are, as they are not streaming their progress.
Does Jaina have a secret phase? It is currently unknown whether Jaina has an additional phase, as some final bosses do on the mythic difficulty. If that is the case, the various guilds would be further away from the First Kill than expected. Otherwise, the fight ends with 5% health remaining for Jaina, and that is within reach.
Do you think Method can still secure the First Kill before time runs out? Or will the earlier US reset provide US guilds with the boost they need for their First Kill?
