The pre-download of patch 7.1.5 has begun. But when exactly will the update for World of Warcraft be released?
Since BlizzCon 2016, the next patch for World of Warcraft has been on the test servers and has gone through numerous stages. The changes seem to be finalizing, as the current version is already marked as a “Release Candidate”. If no major bugs or balance issues are noticed, the patch will likely go live in this version.
Is 7.1.5 coming to World of Warcraft shortly after the holidays?
Blizzard has not yet revealed a fixed date for this, but the background download has already begun. Based on previous patches, the release is likely in 1-2 weeks – right after the holiday season.
Patch 7.1.5 primarily brings numerous changes to class balance. Especially shadow priests have to deal with significant adjustments to their mechanics. Apart from that, there are also numerous improvements for second and third characters. Those who can gather enough order resources and already have a high level of artifact knowledge can directly give the smaller characters a powerful boost – up to 15 levels of knowledge with just one click. This should make it much easier to quickly provide twinks with artifact power.
Additionally, the patch also brings the micro-holidays. These are small events that last only one or a few days and aim to fill Azeroth with a bit more life. There will be temporary incentives to revisit old areas – something during the “Ahn’Quirah Remembrance Day.” But there are also crazy holidays where you can, for example, take on the role of a city guard to protect the city.
We have compiled a list of all micro-holidays along with dates in this post for you.
