The dungeon “The Other Side” in WoW: Shadowlands is getting nerfed. You will soon have more time to complete the dungeon.
In recent days, Blizzard has made a lot of adjustments to the balance of World of Warcraft. In the dungeons, especially on the “Mythic+” difficulty, there were still some issues, which is why the developers already yesterday applied significant nerfs to four dungeons. Now it is also affecting “The Other Side”. The 39-minute timer was stricter than in other dungeons. So it is now being loosened up a bit.
What is changing? The timer for “The Other Side” is increasing. Instead of 39 minutes, you now have 41 minutes to defeat all four bosses and enough trash mobs to overcome the challenge on “Mythic+”. The available time is increasing by 2 minutes.
The changes are live now, and you should notice them on your next “M+” visit to the dungeon.
Why does “The Other Side” take so long? There are several reasons that make “The Other Side” significantly longer than the other Shadowlands dungeons. Although the dungeon has only four bosses, there are some areas with quite a few trash mobs, where it is challenging to fight multiple groups simultaneously and save time. Especially before the intermediary Xy’exa, there are numerous wildlife and invisible enemies that must be defeated, which prolongs the dungeon.
Additionally, the dungeon is full of small passages where players must wait and the timer keeps running – for example, right after defeating a boss. Players then absorb the mojo of the defeated bosses and remain there for several seconds. Longer travel times are also added because you have to backtrack through passages repeatedly.
